Hello bOObs Bloggettes:

I’m going to share another personal story with you: My left breast is having pain in one area and I’ve noticed that my left armpit perspires and, er, “smells” a wee more than the right. The two coincided following back-to-back Omicron infections recently. Is there a connection, I wondered?

I believe so and here’s why: My left breast is of course proximal to my left armpit, and its associated lymph nodes are responsible for moving toxins out of that particular breast. If there is indeed a problem in that breast, my left breast (via the immune system) is working harder to rid of the would-be cancer cells and detoxify itself (via the lymphatic system) following a break down of any problematic pre-cancer cells. (see blog on bras and breast cancer (BC) for more info on lymphatic system and the breast). Because of this, it makes sense that there would be more perspiration and body odor from the detoxification process of any problem.

For example: Treating myself for Late Lyme Disease with alternative methods, following 2 weeks of migraines and other horrific symptoms, I had what I refer to as The Mass Expulsion. Not to be too gross (although it was pretty gross), everything exiting my body had a horrible odor to it — and I mean everything — including my breath and my underarms. Then, after 2 days of this, suddenly the cloud lifted — et voila! — my migraine went away and never to return. I felt 100% back to normal. Strangest thing I’ve ever gone through.

Now I knew that my protocol for healing Late Lyme was indeed working. Unfortunately, the day after feeling 100%, I fell backwards to feeling Lyme symptoms again, but only somewhat. It was like stairstepping my way back to health: Two steps forward, one step back. I could handle that. And after 1.5 years of my protocol, I was back to 100% healed from Chronic Lyme Disease. No conventional medicine doctor can claim that they’ve ever done that for any Late Lyme patient. Ask them. Johns Hopkins said I was “incurable” and said I’d be on/off high-dose IV antibiotics the rest of my life — but I am not. (See my blog on this for more specifics or write me a note and I’ll tell you how I did it).

But I digress. Back to BC and BO…

Okay, real time I’m now going to leave this page and research this and see if my little thesis might carry any water.

Okay, I just looked it up and yes it does it does carry water. Here’s a medical journal article from Japan: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2731057/

In this literature citation it says that BC can have associated uptick in B.O., but also sticky ear wax. Perhaps I’ll look into the latter in another blog, but suffice to say the two go hand-in-hand due to genetic predisposition.

Here’s a summary reported by the Federation of American Societies for Experimental of that article: (Link: https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/06/090601102025.htm)

“If having malodorous armpits (called osmidrosis) and goopy earwax isn’t bad enough, a discovery by Japanese scientists may add a more serious problem for women facing these cosmetic calamities. That’s because they’ve found that a gene responsible for breast cancer causes these physical symptoms. The report should arm physicians with another clue for detecting breast cancer risk.”

Have you ever heard of this? I haven’t. Have our doctors? I don’t think so. Where did this info go? Apparently into another BC abyss.

Now I must turn the inflammation in my left breast (which I hope to confirm in January with my thermogram) around and get my breast back to pre-pandemic tip-top shape. Remember that Covid-19 is a highly inflammatory disease that wreaks havoc on the body in many, many areas, including the breast.

bOObs Bottom line:  Stay alert, ladies, to any changes in your armpits and ear wax, for they could be early signs for BC. Go get screened if you have such changes via a thermogram, mammogram and/or ultrasound, and speak with your doctor. And give them the above research article.

I’ve had several doctors tell me that I’m very “in touch” with my body. I am — and, in the end, that habit may save my life.

Blog at you soon, thanks for reading and helping to spread the word!  (Please see the “share” links below.)  And we’d love to hear comments from you! (see below as well)

Stay healthy,

Megan
