“The truth behind what’s really going on with mammography is going to astound the public.” — WayMark Filmmaker Megan S. Smith, M.S.
Falls Church, Va. — Oct. 21, 2018 — WayMark Productions LLC director Megan S. Smith announces that WayMark has begun to submit its first short documentary “bOObs: The War on Women’s Health” to film festivals worldwide. “When I discovered what was happening in the world of breast cancer screening,” Smith stated, “I decided to help with information dissemination as soon as possible. People will be surprised to hear how life-altering mammograms can be.”
“bOObs” investigates the world of radiographic mammography and the possible replacement of this breast cancer screening tool with two other tests used side by side: thermography and ultrasound. Doctor’s divulge in the film that these latter tests are painless, more accurate than mammograms, and — most importantly — contain no radiation. In combination, these screening tests are also much earlier detection tools as they see inflammation in the breast years before an actual tumor forms.
Founded by Smith, a screenwriter of 13 years, a free-lance writer, and now a documentary filmmaker, WayMark Productions LLC investigates areas otherwise overlooked or underreported by mainstream media. Currently concentrating on health issues such as cancer and Lyme disease, WayMark intends to broaden its mission in upcoming years to include other topics having an adverse effect on the world and its people.
WayMark’s short documentary “bOObs” will be released at the end of 2019 after the film has made its way through the festival cycle.
