Hello bOObs Bloggettes:

I thought I’d talk a little bit about what my production company is up to currently. We’re now embarking on our second documentary film mentioned in a past few blogs: “A New Standard of Care: Alternative Cancer Therapies.”

I started editing A New SOC as my first film release but got sidetracked when I fell into the horrific story about what was happening in the world of breast cancer (BC) screening. I changed course after I interviewed two doctors about thermography and then the American Cancer Society’s medical director. When the latter said the words, “Mammography is a suboptimal test…We need a better test,” that changed my world, and changed the trajectory of my filming schedule.

Soon after, I removed 10 min. of film from A New SOC that investigated the BC screening world and decided to expand that into a 30 min. short doc to submit it to film festivals. I thought the film might make a tangible difference to many women in the world, and I’m happy to report that many are reporting it indeed has! (Men are even writing me, saying that they’ve bought the film for their mothers, sisters, and daughters. I am so touched by this.:))

The short doc went over quite well at festivals and I soon landed an L.A.-based distributor. But in order to distribute, I had to expand it to 90 min., they told me. So I travelled down that path and ended up with my first feature documentary, “bOObs: The War on Women’s Breasts.”

Then COVID hit and a lot of things in life got shuffled around. I mulled over the future of my production company during those long two years, and now have finally decided to go forward with editing A New SOC — and I wanted you to be the first to know.

A New SOC will be filled with many interviews with various non-conventional doctors, their varied life-saving protocols, but most importantly patient success stories. To be frank, the actual moment I decided to go forward with the SOC project was when I was reviewing the rough editing I had done several years prior. Listening as patients explained their amazing, life-altering journeys down the hopeful and oftentimes spiritual paths of healing from cancers — some in Stage 4 with only months to live — I teared up and decided I must move forward with this project. I wanted to give people hope and to not be afraid if ever (god forbid) they contracted cancer. This was, after all, the reason I had ventured into filmmaking to begin with: My late husband’s journey was not an easy one and I didn’t want anyone else to have to go through what he had been forced to endure.

The doctors in A New SOC explain that the body makes a patient’s cancer in the first place and, given the right nutrients, etc, the body can un-make it. Fortified with nutritious food and boosted with such things as high-dose Vitamin C IVs and other alternative, mostly natural treatments, and then carefully detoxed, the patients’ cancers just melted away — even ones impossible to cure, such as Stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

If you’ve seen Ty Bollinger’s series on “The Truth About Cancer,” you’ll have seen some similar awe-inspiring stories. But A New SOC is all of that bundled up into one feature film. We all know someone — friends and/or loved ones — who has cancer or had cancer and/or unfortunately will contract cancer. This film is dedicated to them, and in particular, my late husband Proctor who passed almost 13 years ago from BAC lung cancer. He died after only 2 rounds of 5 different chemos, and it was a horrific death. I knew, on the other hand, having cured my own chronic Lyme disease using alternative medicine, that there must be a better way for cancer as well, and in the end I discovered my intuition was right.

I’ll keep you apprised of how A New SOC is progressing and will continue blogging some about what I discovered along that journey, as well as BC screening topics.

Thanks for all your support and I appreciate all the emails with the feedback I receive!
